Feldman with the Reds in 2017.
Scott Feldman was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 30th round of the 2003 MLB Draft from College of San Mateo. Feldman spent 13 years in the MLB for the Rangers, Cubs, Orioles, Astros, Blue Jays, Reds. He quickly rose through the Minor League ranks and made his MLB debut after only two seasons in the MiLB. However, since he was a late round pick, he remembers the struggles of Minor League life and shared his experiences with us.
"I hope the day comes when MLB pays minor league players a more fair salary. I remember making $800 per month in rookie ball and getting to $1,200 a month in AA. I was extremely blessed to have a good career in the Big Leagues, but most people never make it out of the Minors."
